| What we do ...
Willows Animal Sanctuary is a registered charity based in the
north east of Scotland, not far from the coastal town of Fraserburgh. It provides
a lifelong home for over 200 neglected and ill-treated domestic and farm
animals.
Our main aim is to take animals that are unsuitable
for re-homing elsewhere and that have been rejected by other organizations. Consequently we
represent their last hope of survival. Indeed many of our residents were due to be
euthanised shortly before
they came here.
Willows is unique in that we help
people as well as animals through Animal
Assisted Therapy (AAT) programs. These programs offer people who find it therapeutic
the chance to interact with the animals and help with their care and upkeep. The
animal contact coupled with the good atmosphere here has proved to be a
great help to people in need of some friendly support.
Of course children and families also love it here, where they
can come and see the animals between our opening
hours! We also have regular Family Fun
Days where there is a bouncy castle, games, raffles, stalls, live music and a
petting corner. Click Come and Visit for more
information.
Willows is totally dependant on charitable donations to
survive and continue the good work done here. It currently costs in the region of
£80,000 per year to run the sanctuary, but to develop new projects and keep
accepting animals we need all the help we can get.
Please, give a donation - as
much as you want - or buy a wide selection of items from us at http://Buy.At/Willows
